Newcastle United Vs Cardiff Match Preview

A big match tonight and a tough one at that. If we thought West Brom and Crystal Palace were tough matches then Cardiff could be an even bigger stumbling block.
Team news suggests Leon Best will play some part in the front line up today. My guess is that Ameobi will be fit but Hughton will stick to Carroll and Lovenkrands up front. News has been brewing that the #9 shirt is up for grabs and Hughton has been using it as an incentive for our mis-firing strikers. Let’s hope it works on the night. Newly contracted Danny Simpson will probably get a look in today as would new loan signings Aanholt and Williamson.
Nasty Cardiff stats suggest Newcastle will be the underdog tonight despite the home advantage. Cardiff haven’t lost their last eight. Ex Newcastle United and Geordie, Michael Chopra seems to be the Cardiff talisman and I suspect he may wind up on the score sheet tonight.
Tough match and Newcastle will need to pull out all the stops here.
