Wednesday’s Opponents Go Into Administration
By Dave NU Blogger | January 26, 2010
The recession has hit some football clubs hard and with Watford suffering, we can now add Crystal Palace to the list. Our opponents on Wednesday night announced that they are seeking new investors to combat a hefty £30m debt. They immediately take a 10 point hit and will leave themselves with the unpleasant task of selling prized players and fighting relegation.
With that news coming through and an imminent match approaching, who knows what frame of mind the Palace players will be in on Wednesday! I’m hoping that a decent match of football will be played at St James’ Park.
