Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

The display last night in St James Park was pretty much means that we will have to win our two home matches and beat Aston Villa come the end of the season now whilst letting others do favours for us. Liverpool this Sunday will be a huge test and considering the Reds home record, it [...]

Newcastle Must Do Better

Friday, April 24th, 2009

Pre-Portsmouth match talk has been dominated by Michael Owen’s lack of activity of the goal scoring kind. Chris Hughton dropped our hapless striker a couple of times in previous matches and got no returns. Shearer insists that Owen starts every match and still not much joy there. What’s wrong with the man!? The question shouldn’t [...]

With such a tough start, things will get tougher with Stoke and Tottenham to beat to at least secure some kind of confidence in the team for the remaining 5 games after.

Alan Shearer remained upbeat but undaunted by the enormous task ahead of him. In his first press conference, Llambias introduced us to our new manager for eight games. Also present was Iain Dowie. Also, officially noted is that Dennis Wise has now left the club.
Shearer spoke of the his first team training session and players [...]

Iain Dowie Joins Team Shearer at Newcastle United

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Alan Shearer’s plans came into action with the appointment of Iain Dowie as his right hand man. That doesn’t necessarility spell the end for Chris Hughton who moves to the background ins n’ outs of the team. It’s a tactical move by Shearer to bring in an experienced hand under his first managerial stinit. It’s [...]

Shearer Will Try To Jump Start Terrible Season

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Alan Shearer was drafted in today to rescue Newcastle from relegation and in some ways Ashley’s ownership of the club. As we have debated many times before of a Shearer managerial appointment and now is the time to test those theories. Sir John Hall called the appointment: “Desperate times calls for desperate measures”. He’s right [...]
